A bite from these very tempting popsicles made by three design students in Taiwan might actually kill you. They look like cool and sustainable refreshments, but actually are made from polluted water from rivers across Taiwan.

With their Polluted Water Popsicle Project Hung I-chen, Guo Yi-hui, and Cheng Yu-ti, three students from the National Taiwan University of Arts, want to raise awareness for the growing water pollution in their country. They took water from a hundred different water sources and turned them in the freezer into highly alluring, yet life-threatening ice lollies.

To prevent any accidents, the students recreated the polluted popsicles in polyester resin. In wrappers revealing the source and the contents, these lollies use the beauty and attractiveness of well designed and marketed candies to get a serious message across.
