It’s not what you eat, it’s how you eat. Visitors of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Friday Late event on 29 January took part in a new performance by food design duo honey & bunny entitled ‘eat | VALUE | design’.
The performance ‘eat | VALUE | design’ was an edible multimedia installation. On one hand, honey & bunny (Sonja Stummerer & Martin Hablesreiter, who spoke at WDCD2012) showed a table with earth and food on it and on the other hand, this work contained eight different videos, showing honey & bunny eating. Even the bodies of Sonja & Martin were used to project videos on them.
Visitors sunk their teeth into the social politics of how we sit, how we consume and how we share. They found out about the mobile vehicles that create a space for consumption, the history of cutlery that impacts how we sit and how sound can be a sensory stimulant in our dining experience.
