Not by hiding real issues or over-hyping good news. But by following change-makers in various cities across sub-Saharan Africa.

The people behind My Africa Is are more than aware of the challenges, but also know that Africa is not helpless. Africans are are changing their communities every day – it may be a slow process, but they’re changing it nonetheless.
My Africa Is follows young change-makers, who are doing really cool things, and start a new conversation. Their stories are real, sometimes inspiring, sometimes provoking.
My Africa Is is currently working on a broadcast pilot episode, entitled ‘Alternative Nairobi’. This episode will focus on life in East Africa’s largest metropolis, Kenya’s capital Nairobi. It turns the spotlight on three young Nairobians and their innovative work to resolve Kenya’s high unemployment rate and explore alternative careers.
According to executive producer and host Nosarieme Garrick ‘it is more important than ever to experience Africa’s contemporary history, stories of success, and challenges in a real and personal way. My Africa Is captures a fresh perspective of Africa’s multi-layered colours and complexities in a meaningful, dignified and unexpected snapshot.
