With less than ten days to go, IKEA Foundation’s head of communication Jonathan Spampinato sends out a final call to the worldwide creative community to enter ground breaking ideas for the reception and integration of refugees to the WDCD Refugee Challenge.

IKEA Foundation teams up with the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR and What Design Can Do in the WDCD Refugee Challenge that challenges designers and creative thinkers from around the world to come up with new design solutions which will help refugees in urban areas. The call for entries closes on May 20th. Both existing and new ideas can be entered. For details go to www.whatdesigncando.com/challenge

IKEA Foundation is a charitable organisation set up by furniture retailer IKEA. It’s mission is to create substantial and lasting change by funding holistic, long-term programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities that address children’s fundamental needs: home, health, education and a sustainable family income, while helping communities fight and cope with climate change.
