Don’t recycle, reuse

Better reuse than recycle is the motto of Clever Caps. The plastic bottle caps leave the Brazilian factory with a second life as building blocks. Clever Caps are currently in the Designs of the Year exhibition of the Design Museum in London.

Clever Caps were invented by Cláudio Patrick Vollers, CEO of Brazilian packaging company Clever Pack, and patent specialist Henry Suzuki. The predestined reuse of the bottle caps saves the additional energy consumption and emission of polluting gases and residues of recycling. The fact that the caps in their second version have been made compatible with Lego building blocks will make them last even longer.
