Yvo de Boer is a designer of a different kind. A true tour-de-force, Yvo is a formidable advisor on designing international environmental policy.
As early as 1994, Yvo has been involved in designing climate change policies. Currently, he is President of the Gold Standard Foundation, which works through certification to ensure maximum impact on climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals. Originally from The Netherlands, Yvo’s most notable position was Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from 2006 to 2010. During his time he made a hell of noise on the issue of climate change, raising the highest levels of political and media attention.
From decades of influential positions, including KPMG’s Global Chairman of Climate Change & Sustainability Services (CC&S) & Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Yvo is a key figure in designing sustainable climate policies. His understanding of implementing essential financial systems & his ability to facilitate partnerships with global stakeholders, ensures that the key players are united in their effort against climate change.
