Shay Raviv

Shay Raviv is an independent social designer, design researcher and consultant. She graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2015 and afterwards worked at Studio Irene Fortuyn and STBY, among others. She uses design research to analyse systems or issues from different angles and offer new social perspectives. Her design research practice extends to investigating social design processes.

Together with Pim van der Mijl, she co-founded De Voorkamer in 2015, an inclusive meeting place in the heart of the multicultural neighbourhood in Utrecht, Lombok. It is a place where different cultures meet. Raviv collaborates closely with the Dutch Design Foundation as the creative leader of the Embassy of Inclusive Society and as an impact strengthener at PONT program. Her publications include the book ‘Veenhuizen, A Place to Stay’, and the visual essay ‘Beyond Projects’.
