Lisanne Buik is an AI consultant, keynote speaker, and artist-futurist specializing in AI ethics, the impact of AI on organizations, and the future of work. She focuses on building systems where humans, nature, and technology can collaborate more harmoniously. She advises companies and government agencies on navigating and applying AI developments in a rapidly changing world. Long before ChatGPT became a global phenomenon, Lisanne foresaw that AI would change everything and developed her own ‘Gracious AI’ design methodology in 2017.

Lisanne’s influence extends to collaborations with leading organizations such as the Province of Zeeland, Philips, and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. She has shared her insights at venues such as Dutch Design Week, the Van Gogh Museum, and The Next Web, and teaches AI and ethics at universities like Erasmus University and the University of Lucerne (Switzerland).

In the dance between innovation and ethics, technology and nature, may grace and imagination be our guides. Together with Artificial Intelligence, we can create a future that honors humans, nature, and machines.

In addition to speaking and consulting, Lisanne works closely with other creative thinkers and makers to make abstract future scenarios tangible and applicable, showcasing the consequences of the ethical considerations we make today. She has an active AI community on social media, supported by her newsletter and podcast, Gracious AI Radio. Driven by her own experiences as a ‘twenty-something’ tech entrepreneur (she sold her first startup, VanChefs, at the age of 26), she aims to promote diversity, sustainability, and ethics within the tech world through her current work. In all her lectures, Lisanne Buik uses concrete case studies and interactive elements to engage her audience in the complex themes surrounding AI, ethics, and sustainability. She encourages discussion and reflection, making her presentations not only informative but also inspiring and challenging for her audience.
