Gyor Moore is a Rotterdam-based design activist who celebrates positive change and impact through design and experiences. After working in agencies for a while, he founded his own creative studio four years ago and has been helping brands boost values like inclusivity, diversity, and equality ever since – focusing on topics such as LGBTI+ rights and anti-racism.
How can you make a difference with design? His clients include Pampers, NikkieTutorials, Nationale Politie, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Recently he worked on projects like The Decolonization Toolkit – an initiative by the Chief Diversity Officer Team of the University of Amsterdam – which is a virtual toolkit full of tips and materials to decolonise yourself and the university. For the Municipality of Rotterdam, he created the upcoming campaign for Rotterdam: Toen en Nu, an open call for funding projects examining the city’s history of slavery and colonial past. Gyor is also the founder of Pride Radio, the only video platform exclusively playing music from artists who identify as Queer, and SOBKOLT, a label by Queer BIPOC creatives from all walks of life, creating lifestyle products where a portion of the profits always go to charity.
