“As a maker I have always been passionate about the origins and life cycle of materials and how they can be creatively used to benefit users.”

Gill Lambert is an architect, exhibition designer, maker, and educator. She co-leads Agents of Change (AOC) alongside Geoff Shearcroft and Tom Coward, a dynamic practice of architects and designers dedicated to creating buildings, places, and experiences. Based in East London, AOC is known for its collaborative approach, using co-creation to develop innovative briefs and hybrid designs that address the challenges of contemporary democratic society.

Gill’s participatory design process focuses on activating objects within spaces to foster new forms of physical and social interaction. She has spearheaded design projects for leading museums and cultural institutions, including the Barbican Art Gallery, Copenhagen Contemporary, Crafts Council, Somerset House, the Science Museum Group, Tate, and the Wellcome Collection. Committed to enhancing access to art, she has collaborated with renowned contemporary artists such as Rachel Whiteread and Marta Minujín to create engaging, inclusive installations. Most recently, Gill led the transformation of the former Museum of Childhood in London into Young V&A, successfully fulfilling the brief to design “The Most Joyful Museum in the World.”
