FOOD DESIGN BY ELENA REYGADAS: FROM INSECT TO INSPIRING DISH
Elena Reygadas was selected Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2014. She studied English Literature at Mexico’s National Autonomous University and later relocated to Manhattan to attend the French Culinary Institute. Reygadas subsequently worked for Chef Giorgio Locatelli in London before founding her restaurant, Rosetta, in Mexico City.
The culinary entrepreneurs of Mister Kitchen – the company behind Rolling Kitchens (Rollende Keukens) festival and the Mister Kitchen’s brand – have a shared passion for cooking and eating. The trio travelled the world tasting dishes and writing for food magazines for ten years, gathering inspiration to return home and work in their own kitchen.

In this workshop, Daan Faber of Mister Kitchen meets with Mexican chef Elena Reygadas for an interview and cooking session. The aim is to reveal her drives as a chef and food designer and hopefully, some of her culinary secrets.
